NumberPad INPUT Was made as an easy and quicker way to set "dials" especially when using head tracking to reduce the ammount of accidental zooming.
Use your number pad to input Com and Nav frequencies, Headings, and a few others. Just type in the frequency (or other value) you would like to set, the press the corresponding shortcut to set the value you typed. Please check out the video here to see it in action!
Note:
- Only Number pads are supported (numbers above QWERTY keys are not supported)
- Num-Lock MUST be on.
- While this add-on is running, Normal functionality of the num pad (0-9 and •) are disabled.
- You and toggle normal numpad functualtiy by hitting [Alt+N]
- This is to reduce unexpected sim interactions that may be mapped to the number pad.
- On some occasions the overlay will be behind the sim window. To fix this, quit the app (from the tool bar) and open again after the sim has started.
- Though the core add-on is completed, this is still under active development
- New ideas/features welcomed!
- I would be very interested if you encounter any bugs.
- Overlay behind sim is currently being looked into
- Coming soon:
- In-Sim number pad (using an on screen numberpad w/ set buttons instead of shortcuts )
- Input validation (currently if you set something that isn't valid it wont tell you)
- Github source code

Sim commuication is thanks to the awsome work by MSFS Mobile Companion App [flightsim.to , github]
Thanks for the great Job. Unfortunately the swapping function does not work on my computer. All the other function do well. Can you please give me an input, what coud be wrong?

It seems a very useful tool to me but I can´t get it work. The program seems to load , it appears in the Windows Task Manager but not on the Windows Taskbar. Alt-n has also no effect. Am I doing something wrong?

I have a new idea for you to do ... instead of just the radio, try to do it with the letters of the FMC
" You press F1 and release the IMPUT to the keyboard, then any letter and numbers you type on the keyboard, the FMC types on the plane at the same time. 😍👍 "

I would ABSOLUTLY LOVE to do that! but unfortunately that is not possible unless the developer who created the FMC also added support for that (could be wrong, but I cant find any way to do it at least)

Not a big fan of running an exe "blindly". Where does it install to? Does it go to the community folder or desktop or can one choose installation location?

I fully understand but unfortunately, at least at this point in time, its not possible to do this with a traditional MSFS add on. If that changes I would absolutely look into it!
this currently gets installed into the AppData\Local\Programs\numberpad-input folder, which is pretty normal for many installed apps (for what it's worth).

Many thanks for the update. I have been pressing alt n but the views keep changing. I have no keyboard conflicts in the sim. Thanks for any help.

Good idea my friend , I love someone who also works hard to make imputs on the keyboard ....
I'm also trying to turn the FMC input mode like in ZIBO to XPLANE ....
You press F1 and release the IMPUT to the keyboard, then any letter and numbers that you type on the keyboard, the FMC type on the plane at the same time. 😍👍

Same here. Any chance of being able to turn this on and off with a keystroke so that we can still use the numberpad for views? Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much for your input! I added Alt+N to toggle numpad inputs to switch from this add-on to normal functionality

Great idea, but I use the number keys for changing views. I wouldn't want to lose this capability.
