AirPac (ICAO: APM), was an airline based in Alaska (US), it started in 1978 as "Air Pacific" offering charter services, from 1982 it started to fly scheduled passenger flights, later the airline became a code-sharing partner with Alaska Airlines.
As the airline grew it realized the potential of starting jet services to and from Unalaska (Dutch Harbour), and at the end settled for the BAe 146-100 to operate from the 3950ft unpaved runway in Dutch Harbour.
This BAe 146 was delivered to Air Pac on the 3rd of March 1984 and it was fitted for unpaved runway and extended over water operations, and a cargo/passenger configuration. Using this BAe 146, Air Pac became the first jet operator in Dutch Harbour
In 1985 other destinations were added, and in 1986 it started to fly some services to Seattle, thus connecting Anchorage and Dutch Harbour to Seattle (via Sitka).
Air Pac filed for bankrupcy in May 1986, and suspended all flights. A few years later, executives of the AirPac operation brought suit against both British Aerospace and Lycoming Engines alleging that the constant aircraft maintenance issues and "teething" problems had resulted in the eventual demise and bankruptcy of the airline.
N146AP then went on to serve with other regional airways in the US (maintaing it's original registration), planespotters now classifies it as "Stored"
