80 years ago today, men crossed the english channel to start the west advance that would end nazi-fascist tyranny.
Here depicted as seen when the 2100884 was painted in the 91st Troop Carrier Squadon and took part of the filming of the Band of Brothers "Days of Days" episoded, when the 101st Airborne Division dropped in Normandy as part of the Operation Overlord.
Both 101st Airborne Division and the 91st Troop Carrier Squadron were based in RAF North Witham during the invasion, and the Drop Zone was between the Utah Beach and Saint-Martin-de-Varreville in the first couple of hours of the 6th of June.
the 210084 was originally delivered to the USAAF and in september 44 she was transfered to RAF and after beind used in civilian operations after war, she was purchased in 83 as a show plane and since then has always shown different C-47s wartime liveries as starred many movies and documentaries.
This version included textures with cockpit, cabin, custom cargo, ground equipment and textures for formation flying.
PS.: As soon as possible I will make this livery compatible with the C-47A version too, at the moment the C-47 seem to be encrypted and not accessible..

By the way:
Are you actually still sleeping or are you just painting around the clock?
