Barkly Wayside Inn Airport is a privately owned airstrip serving the roadhouse of the same name on the Barkly Highway, in the Tablelands region of the Northern Territory. The nearest towns are Tennant Creek, a 210km drive to the west, and Camooweal, a 260km drive to the east.
The main focus was to add the apron and fix the runway material. It is strongly suggested that you download and install the Mikea.at Asset Pack, as this scenery uses some of those assets.
Version 1.2:
- Improved ground textures for runway and apron areas
- Improved positioning and assets for cones and gables (now requires Mikea.at's Asset Pack)
- Corrected windsock orientation
- Modified parking locations to better bit with new assets
- Minor vegetation fixes
Version 1.1:
- Fixed runway starts so aircraft spawn in the correct locations
- Removed the autogenerated windsock
- Improved some of the ground texturing
- Added two additional parking stands
- Added star to world map
Version 1.0:
-Fixed runway material from concrete to gravel
-Added apron at the end of runway 30
-Added a GA parking stand so you don't have to spawn on the runway
-Fixed the windsock location
-Added gables (they're a mess in real life, so they are in this scenery as well)
-Removed trees from the highway (a common MSFS problem), the airport service roads, and some of the roads at the roadhouse
-Fixed some minor scenery issues at the roadhouse, and added a few missing buildings and vehicles
Known Issues:
-The autogen scenery around the roadhouse is a bit rough, but my main focus was fixing the air strip itself. I may go back at some point and fix up the roadhouse some more later.
-The highway/road auto placement is wrong, I'm going to look into seeing if/how it can be fixed.
-Minor apron texture issues
If I missed anything or you have suggestions about any other changes to make, please leave a comment.
Thanks, and enjoy!
